Christmas 2011...Eve, Day and Day after

Christmas has been ongoing...different but ongoing...Christmas Eve we had the Office Elders over for games, food, a talent show and Christmas carols...

The tree...

Setting the rules for the ping pong tournament...

Elder Chipman...ninja ping pong player!

The crowd! Elder Gouchnor, the tall elder in the blue shirt, won the tournament.

Then we had to squee-gee off my private little basketball court for a game of pig...

This was my Christmas present from Diane...my own private court at the house...

Taylor "Jimmering" a shot from deep, deep, deep...this gives you a little feel for the dimemsions of my court!

Meanwhile, Santa's little helper was cooking a feast...

Then we had the talent show and singing....in English and Spanish and sometimes both at the same time...

The next morning, we went to Church and then opened presents...

I got an iPod loaded with missionary music and audio books! Thank you children!

Diane recieved some pearls from her favorite missionary...

And...then the only thing that could upstage pearls...

A new Kitchen Aid from our children that Taylor brought with him all the way from Utah! Well done Curtis, Candace, Chris, Jenny, Jennifer, Tim, Alli, Sam and Taylor! On behalf of the whole mission, thank you!

Taylor recieved a bunch of restaurant gift cards (In n Out, Chipolte, Chilis, etc) in addition to his straw hat and alligator skin belt! So, Monday night we thought for Family Home Evening we would play some ping pong...

Taylor and I started off friendly enough...

Until he started aiming for corners...

Same thing with Diane...look how competitive she is with Taylor...

And how "hand-on-the-hip" bored she is with me!

So, Taylor and I tried to play mind games with each other by imitating the "I'm so good and you're so bad that I can play you with one hand on my hip" strategy!

It worked! We played to a tie...

No one can imitate Diane's cooking, though! Nice holiday cinnamon rolls! Can't wait for New Year's Day!

  1. I've been playing pingpong at Kelly and denise's. They just got the bball hot shot game that we had as kids. Glad baptisms are going so well.

  2. I am Elder Ramsay's mom. Thanks for posting pictures of Christmas. It brought tears to my eyes. I was so glad to hear that Sister Heyman took such good care of him in my place. Thank you both for all your hard work and for being a part of the mission that Seth loves so much.
