Good Morning, Charlotte!

As we were going to bed last night Diane decided to put the phone next to the bed just in case our daughter-in-law Candace went into labor. At 1:30 am the phone rang and our son, Curtis called to say they just arrived at the hospital. Good-bye sleep! We stayed up and talked and waited. Not too long, though. At 2:17 am we received an e-mail that our granddaughter, Charlotte Marian Heyman, all 7 pounds, 12 ounces and 21.5 inches of her had arrived and that Mother and daughter were fine. Father was ok, too! He called again after Charlotte was born. Diane talked to Curtis and Candace and heard Charlotte making her presence known in the background.
The emails kept coming steady throughout the early morning hours...

Oh, Charlotte get plenty of rest while you can...

Because the Three Amigos are planning your welcome home party!

I have hidden Grandma Heyman's passport just to be sure temptation does not get the best of her!

  1. That last picture is awesome. Thank goodness for Skype! Charlotte is going to have to learn to run with these crazy boys!

  2. Congratulations to all involved, although I think most of that should go to Candace!

    Ray,

I was going to some work while stuck in the airport in Philly, but realized that I had not checked in or viewed this blog in quite a while. Well, as they say, timing is everything. I just wish I would have checked in a day or two earlier - you know Phil is a beuatiful and underutilized name, esspecailly for a girl!

I am thrilled for you and DIane and am glad that you two are doing well. Just know that I miss our conversations, but that otherwise all is well in the Old Pueblo.

    Your Friend,

    Phil

P.S. Charlotte is a beautiful name.
