They Made It!

In June, Elder Jorge F. Zeballos (and his wife Carmen Gloria) was scheduled to come and tour our mission.

They day they were to arrive, he called to say that due to heavy fog in Buenos Aires his flight was cancelled and he would have to reschedule for July 3-5. So, on Wednesday true to his word, Elder Zeballos and his wife flew to Formosa where we picked them up and checked in at our hotel. Then we attended a training meeting for the local leaders until 9:00 pm. Afterwards, we had dinner with Formosa Stake President Zayas and his wife. Then it was back to the hotel.

Thursday morning we had a multi zone conference in Formosa (Formosa 1, Formosa 2, Clorinda and Ibarreta) from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. We then drove 2 1/2 hours to see the flooding from the Parana River just outside of Resistencia (all of our missionaries and members are safe).

Afterwards we dropped our bags off at our home and had a training meeting of the local leaders in Resistencia and Corrientes until 9:00 pm. Then we had dinner with the Zeballos, Stake Presidents Fernandez and Yañez and their wives at the Amerian Hotel. From there we went back home.

Friday (today) we had another multi zone conference (Resistencia, Resistencia Sur, Corrientes, Roque Sáenz Peña, Reconquista, Goya and Pasos de los Libres) from 9:00-3:00. Then it was straight to the airport to drop the Zeballos off for their trip back to Buenos Aires. For all that hustling around, we were still standing up straight and smiling when this picture was taken as we were leaving for the airport.

It took so long for them to come and the time they were here went by so quickly, but it was great and we enjoyed every minute, story, laugh, song and message. On to the next adventure!

  1. They were so nice to open their home to me at 11pm when Mom was in the hospital! I'm sure you had a great time.
