There is a saying I have taught my children, "Always be prepared for something to go wrong during international travel."
During our flight yesterday from Salt Lake City to Dallas the flight attendant informed us that our connecting flight to Buenos Aires had been cancelled due to volcanic ash in the atmosphere. A volcano in Chile has been erupting. So, we are in Dallas until other plans can be made to get us to Argentina.
The adventure has begun.

Chau for now...
In a few hours we leave Salt Lake City for Buenos Aires. We arrive at 7:35 am tuesday. The past week has been a whirlwind as we have said many goodbyes and hellos. Our experience at the Missionary Training Center was great and has us excited to begin the work. We were able to spend some time with 15 new missionaries who will arrive in Resistencia on July 25th. That really helped make this all real.
Thank you everyone who has supported us and helped prepare us. It is now time to button the top button, straighten the tie, put on the suit coat and get to work.

Church News
It's official! The following was published in the Church News this week:
The Ox was in the Mire
There are somethings you just don't do on a Sunday unless the "Ox is in the mire". This Sunday were were in Clorinda, Formosa for District Conference. I parked the HiLux here...
Diane didn't like the parking spot because it was "blocking" the gate. I told her it was fine, no one would be using the gate, so while I was in a meeting she moved it to here...
That's right, she sunk the HiLux..
When I saw her in between meetings, all she said was, "Boy, you are going to be mad at me!"
If you know anything about Heyman body language you have a pretty good idea of how I felt about it all...
After the meetings, the fun started...
Here's what the Ox looked like when it was out of the mire...
Twenty years from now, they will be talking about this District Conference in Clorinda...but they won't be reminiscing about the talks we gave...
